Ray Holland

Construction Manager

Joined AG|CM in 2016.

Mr. Holland comes to the AG|CM, Inc. organization with a vast construction background.  He began his formal construction career with Georgia-Pacific Corp ultimately serving as Lumber Wholesale Manager for the Nashville, Tennessee branch.

Ray decided private entrepreneurship was the way to go, and in 1972 opened his own construction company specializing in residential new and remodeling construction.  Not more than a couple of years into his business, he expanded to commercial construction.  He further obtained his real estate broker’s license.

With a declining economy in the late 70’s and early 80’s, Ray decided a change in venue would be appropriate, and in 1981 moved his family and business to Texas.  He always enjoyed residential construction and kept that as part of his business.  He was one of five general construction companies approved to work for Hospital Corporation of America and capitalized on the relationship with land purchasing and development, design build facilities, interior design and furnishings, and ultimately property management.

Ray diversified his construction career even further and began managing a structural steel facility in the late 80’s.  Notable projects completed under his guise were Bush Presidential Library, College Station, Texas; WAS Thickening Facility, Los Angeles, California; Indiana Jones‘ Temple of Doom Disneyland, Anaheim, California; and McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ray is a Vietnam Era veteran serving in the United States Navy. Following his active duty, he transferred to the Tennessee Army National Guard and ultimately honorably resigned his O-3 commission with over 13 years of service.

As a construction manager, Ray’s responsibilities include: ensuring the Contractors Quality Control plan is implemented, attendance and run project meetings, daily interaction with contractors, engineers, and owner representative, pay draw requests, review of field alterations and change orders, review of lab reports/testing, and daily job site inspection/daily reports.
