Michael Gottlieb

Senior Construction Inspector

Michael Gottlieb brings to AG|CM a high degree of knowledge and a great eye for detail. He serves as a Construction Inspector and Quality Assurance Inspector, responsible for all phases of construction, procedures and progress to assure compliance with plans, specifications and standards. He is currently serving with University of Texas Health in San Antonio on a major renovation to a Cancer Treatment Center, and also working on a new Aging Research building that will also house an animal research facility with a vivarium. Prior to these projects, Mr. Gottlieb has over 12 years’ experience as a University of Texas System Construction Inspector, where he served on a multitude of projects including medical, research and educational facilities. He is well versed at multiple disciplines of inspection, having vast experience in Municipal, Higher Education and Healthcare related projects. He is also ICC Certified as both a Commercial Plumbing Inspector and a Residential Building Inspector.

Mr. Gottlieb is responsible to perform quality assurance services on commercial building construction, including work classified under but not limited to the following Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) divisions: existing conditions, concrete, masonry, metals, wood, plastics and composites, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, special construction, conveying equipment, fire suppression, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, electrical, communications, electronic safety and security, earthwork, exterior improvements and site utilities. His primary objectives are 1) defect prevention, 2) defect detection by a) visual inspection and b) special inspection and testing results reported by quality control professionals and technicians and 3) to assure construction conforms to the construction documents. Additionally, he is often tasked with select Construction Management duties such as validating Contractor Pay Applications, coordinating Requests for Information between Contractors and the Engineers of Record, evaluating Change Orders and serving as liaison to residents and business owners affected by construction on behalf of public entities.
