Lawrence Gaertner, CMIT

Lawrence graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science in 2013 and began working in construction during the summer of 2008 as a general laborer and carpenter’s assistant. Later he interned with Toll Brothers building luxury homes in San Antonio and then with Whiting-Turner building a Kroger grocery store in Houston.
Lawrence began working with AG|CM in the Fall of 2013 as an assistant construction manager for Corpus Christi ISD for the execution of their $125M bond program. He specifically focused on managing construction for a new 426,000 square foot high school.
He later worked for the Port of Corpus Christi on a $24M expansion of an operating railyard totaling 60,000 track feet of new rail, as well as the construction of a new oil dock servicing the Mossi Ghisolfi PTA/PET plant.
Lawrence is currently the Construction Manager for the Texas A&M System responsible for quality assurance/inspection of the $47M, 112,000 square foot new building for the College of Sciences and Engineering at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Responsibilities include conducting progress meetings and preconstruction meetings, time management, cost management, processing payment requests, processing change orders, quality management, acceptance and performance testing, final inspection, maintenance of record drawings and project documents, tracking project testing, conducting site tours and acting as liaison between the contractors, design team and individuals at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and within the Texas A&M System.
