Kendra graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in the fall of 2012 with her Bachelors of Science in Architecture. Prior to joining the AG|CM team, Kendra worked as an Estimator and Assistant Project Manager for an expanding commercial general contractor in South Texas where her focus was Competitive Sealed Proposals. She negotiated bidding on big box retail remodels, expansions, and ground-up projects ranging from $10K-$17M, and assisting in construction management of commercial retail projects across Texas. As Assistant Project Manager, Kendra was responsible for cost savings, value engineering, buy out, subcontract negotiations, budget tracking, change order review, and processing, as well as establishing and maintaining lasting relationships with owners, owner representatives and subcontractors. Kendra is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI). She has her Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification through CMAA and is certified in Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) through the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
As a Construction Manager, Kendra is responsible to provide construction leadership and perform administration and management within a defined scope of services from start of construction through startup and occupancy. She provides guidance on project-related activities and serves as the lead for the PDT consisting of the Owner, Architect/Engineer and Contractor. Through hands-on coordination with the PDT, she acts in the interest of the Owner as agent and/or advisor. She is responsible to interpret plans and specifications, for Construction Quality Assurance services providing on-site observation and inspection of materials, structures, equipment, workmanship, methods used and performance by the Contractor, to verify that the project is constructed in compliance with the Construction Documents. Kendra serves as supervisor and/or mentor to Assistant Construction Manager(s), Inspector(s) and/or other technical or administrative personnel specifically assigned to her projects.
