Project Description: Construction of a Professional Minor League Baseball Stadium
Services: Program Management, Construction Management, Estimating
Cost: $24 Million
The home of the Corpus Christi Hooks, Whataburger Field is a 6,500-seat, Professional Minor League Baseball Stadium.
AG|CM began working on the stadium in the planning phase. As the Program Manager, AG|CM provided cost estimates for the owner and administered a constructability review. As the Construction Manager, AG|CM oversaw the construction phase of the project ensuring that it was completed within budget.
AG|CM also played a key role in seeing that the project was completed within the limited, fast-paced, 12-month construction schedule, meeting the challenge through advanced materials purchasing and other “work arounds”. In addition, AG|CM also worked within the framework of extreme subsurface challenges and high public expectations, as the site location was formerly coastal marsh and the project was a high-profile one for the City.
