Services: Construction Management, Ongoing
The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is in the process of replacing the existing Building 8 at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. This new Power Train Facility (PTF) will replace selected activities currently housed within Building 8 at CCAD. The existing building has areas which are nearly seventy years old and have been added to many times throughout its life. The first phase includes a $39 million building which will house overhaul and repair operations for aircraft transmissions, including various transmission test cells with equipment worth approximately $90 million. The requirements CCAD has of the new building to complete its mission have changed since the original design was completed. This is due in large part to changes in the technology that will be housed in the transmission test cells. AG|CM has been tasked as the representative for CCAD to NAVFAC in the re-design process to ensure the needs of the depot are fully met.
