Phase II of the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s new Wellness Center, the Nursing, Health Sciences and Kinesiology Building will tie into the Center, creating one large facility. The 140,000-square-foot facility includes student classrooms, faculty offices, simulated hospital patient beds and laboratories. Space is set aside for programs in the high demand fields of physical and operational therapy, which have been authorized for development. A gymnasium, fitness and wellness center, specialized for labs in physiology, biomechanics and motor evaluation/development are also included in the project.
AG|CM has provided constructability reviews of the schematic design documents to ensure they comply with the existing construction manager at risk’s guaranteed maximum price cost estimates, and upon completion of design, will also provide Construction Management services for the System. Additional services include Estimating, Inspections and value engineering verification.
